Murder arrest over Primrose Hill stabbing

A 27-year-old man was taken into custody for murder after Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old filmmaking student, was found dead following a stabbing in Primrose Hill. Emergency responders arrived at the north London location on Tuesday, where Sullivan’s fatal injuries were reported. He succumbed to his wounds at the scene.

Police were dispatched to Primrose Hill shortly after 18:30 BST. A second man, in his early 20s, was discovered with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road and transported to hospital. His condition was assessed as non-life-threatening. The Met Police confirmed that a 25-year-old individual was also arrested for assisting the offender.

Both suspects were detained on Friday and are currently held by authorities. Det Insp Andy Griffin stated: “My thoughts remain with Finbar’s family, who are receiving support from specialist officers during this incredibly challenging period.”

“Although we’ve made two arrests, my officers are continuing to investigate all those involved,” Griffin added.

He acknowledged public assistance so far and encouraged anyone with information or footage from the area on the day of the incident to contact the police. “Residents can expect heightened police activity as local officers intensify patrols in Primrose Hill and surrounding neighborhoods,” he concluded.
