Coronation Street ‘confirms’ who takes down Jodie – and it’s not Shona
Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) has managed to outwit Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) with her flawless sister act, but one Corrigan Street resident remains skeptical. While Jodie has been preoccupied with causing chaos among the locals, her actions have slipped past Shona’s notice, who is still unaware of her sister’s schemes.
Throughout her time on the cobbles, Jodie has stirred up trouble by spreading unverified rumors and leaving David the Dog in a state of disarray. Despite her antics, Shona has yet to suspect that Jodie is scheming to undermine her. This dynamic shifts in tonight’s episode, where Shona’s emotional state is tested after losing her wedding ring.
The ring went missing during Shona’s nail appointment at the salon, which she shared with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon). After searching the entire space without success, Shona was left feeling defeated. However, Jodie’s luck changed when she discovered the ring hidden behind a chair in the Platt household, enlisting David Platt’s (Jack P Shepherd) assistance to retrieve it.
At the Rovers, Shona celebrated the return of her ring, crediting Jodie for the find. Yet, Bethany was less convinced, as Jodie’s earlier behavior had already sown seeds of doubt. When Maria remarked on Jodie’s charm and influence, Bethany’s skepticism was evident, hinting at deeper concerns about her sister’s intentions.
Bethany revealed to Maria that she was still uncertain about Jodie, though she believed Shona had convinced herself the ring was lost in the salon. Maria quickly countered by suggesting Shona’s recent stressors might have clouded her judgment, adding a humorous note about Bethany’s paranoia.
